Memory expansion 1.5MB/2MB for AMIGA 500 optional with RTC
- 1.5MB is “slow mem”. 1MB slow-mem can be disabled via jumper (0.5MB slow-mem remains).
- additional 0.5MB possible with soldering.
- Optionally with RTC – Real Time Clock
- The Amiga must be unscrewed for installation.
For the 1.5MB slow mem, the Gary chip must be pulled out and placed on the adapter.
For the additional 0.5MB chip mem you have to cut a trace on the mainboard and solder a jumper.
For this you need a steady hand and soldering skills. A clean cut of the trace is reversible by a jumper or solder point.
ATTENTION: The Amiga can be destroyed by the soldering conversion. We assume no liability for improper soldering!
- An 8372A Agnus is required! (not always standard in Rev5 Amiga)
- The memory expansion is installed in the “trapdoor” below.
